During the first few weeks of school we learned a lot about each other. One of our activities was to think about what we wanted to be when we grow up. Then we drew life size self-images and dressed them to look like what we want to be when we grow up. The boys mostly wanted to be cops but when they began drawing themselves they suddenly became skaters! I'm not sure who first started the idea but it swept through the boys in the class like wild fire and soon they all wanted to be skaters! I explained that they wouldn't be able to make money as skaters but that didn't sway them one bit!! I was very surprised by the girls' very creative career choices as well. However, I think they will all make awesome adults and contribute greatly to our society regardless of their career choices (although I sure was looking forward to such a safe town with all of those cops!). Your children will be on display at Open House.
